Mari is an award-winning educator, an author, and an entrepreneur. She got her first taste of entrepreneurship observing her mother build her own business. Mari attributes herself motivation to her mother’s hard work and dedication as she overcame barriers in the healthcare industry, while juggling a family and adapting to a new language in a new country. Apparently, that work ethic, is genetic. After taking the life lessons her mother bestowed upon her, Mari has followed her mother’s legacy and added Honor, Courage, and Commitment as a US Marine. After her honorable discharge, Mari’s desire for ever striving towards betterment drove her to attend and graduate from the Stanford School of Business. Mari enjoys learning, and she has combined her background in education and service to endeavor in starting up American Abatement & Demo, with her husband, Aaron Borrero. Mari has obtained certifications as an Asbestos Project Designer, AHERA Building Inspector, Lead Renovator, and Project Supervisor; along with attendance at various programs such as UW-Foster Business School-Minority Executive Program, Business Ascend Seattle Program and Stanford Graduate School of Business – LBAN.
